High latency in dbt platform impacting multiple users
Resolved·Partial outage

The issue has been resolved, and all affected systems are now functioning normally as of 7:30 PM Eastern. Between 3:30 PM Eastern and 7:30 PM Eastern an issue with the API resulted in high latency for some features of the Studio IDE, Metadata API, and dbt Copilot. We have put measures in place to prevent a recurrence and the systems have returned to normal. Please contact Support via email support@getdbt.com if you continue to experience delays and are unsure of the root cause.

Monitoring

We have deployed a fix for the issue that was causing latency issues with the Metadata API, some IDE functionality with search features, and dbt Copilot. Services are returning to a normal state and errors are decreasing. We are continuing to monitor.

Investigating

We're investigating an issue with high latency that is causing timeouts and pod errors. This is impacting the Studio IDE, the Metadata API, dbt Copilot, and Canvas anytime after 4 PM Eastern. The team is working on a resolution and we will provide updates at approximately 15 minute intervals or as soon as new information becomes available. Scheduled jobs are not impacted and should be running as expected.
